The firm
Vela PM works on the owner's side, from advising on the development through to handover.
The firm was founded to bring the standards of an established practice to clients who want the principal's judgement directly, rather than passed down through a larger organisation.
How we work
Every project is run by the same senior person
Continuity of judgement is the thing a larger firm finds hardest to offer, because staff change and decisions pass through several levels.
The team is matched to the project
Vela's team spans project management, cost management, planning, quality assurance and design. The disciplines a project requires are deployed to it, under the founder's direct direction, with one named person responsible from the day we are appointed.
Independent by structure
Vela works only on the owner's side. We do not build, and the design we check is produced by other firms.
Leadership
Saud Al Gurg
Founder and Chief Executive
Saud is Emirati. Before founding Vela he spent sixteen years as Managing Director of Al Gurg Consultants, leading the practice through delivery for clients including Emaar, Nakheel, Nshama, Majid Al Futtaim, Wasl, Deyaar, Azizi, MAG, the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, Dubai Municipality and the Dubai Ruler's Court.

Continuing project, cost or supervision capability across a programme of work, charged monthly.
Defined assignments
A specific piece of work to an agreed scope and timescale, charged at agreed stages.
We are flexible on how we are appointed. What matters is that the scope is clear, the price is set against what has been agreed, and both are settled before work starts.
